Como es común en los DJs que se iniciaron mezclando indie y electrónica (su nombre artístico es un homenaje al cantautor Daniel Johnston) DJohnston se caracteriza por una gran versatilidad a los platos, que ha desplegado pinchando todo tipo de estilos en muchos eventos y locales de Barcelona e incluso en templos europeos como Sub Club, Rex Club o Fuse. Actualmente, sus residencias en Razzmatazz, que incluyen las sesiones Journeys y las noches Less Than D118CO, siguen dando fe de un eclecticismo a prueba de bombas.

Born in Zaragoza and based in Barcelona since 2010, where he began to progressively enter the world of mixing, experimenting with different genres. He has been passionate about music since he was a child and has a tireless motivation to discover music of any genre, country and time. Drawing inspiration from nature’s whispers and the cosmic mysteries of life, Dead Tongues’ music stretches from languid downtempo and experimental IDM, to mind-bending techno soundscapes and broken rhythms of any kind, weaving in acid basslines, trance melodies, and tribal sources. A journey throughout uncharted territories, where dead tongues come back to life. He currently has a monthly program on Noods radio under his aka DTFOS where he explores the most spiritual facets of any part of the world, experimental music, ambient, fourth-world. Together with Lux Lisbon, they have created SIMULACRO. A party oriented to give visibility to the emerging local scene claiming the underground club culture.
