On Friday, February 1st, 2019, a new ceremony will be held at the legendary LoLiTa Temple in Razzmattazz, Barcelona. This therapeutical dance gathering will be conducted by Peruvian Snakecharmer Dj Qrichi, based in Berlin, where he chases after Eck Echo, the little god of the Andes with a secret bag of mysterious sounds from the depths of Latin America. Along his constant travels and exchanges, Qrichi has amassed a collection of records that narrate the bittersweet, often ecstatic episodes of remotes corners of the New World. Dj Phidias, hailing from the Latino Body tribe, and and the Elefandes Tape Archives, will provide Dance Rites to the sounds of Underground Latinity, Afro Caribbean Esoterism, and Tropical Abductions, while celebrating the birth of his first record entitled ¨Latent Effect¨ released by Australian label Best Effort.
About Vimana:
Vimana is a mythological flying palace or chariot described in Hindu texts and Sanskrit
epics. One such object was discovered in Barcelona’s industrial Poblenou district and has
provided us with key to continue the mystical work of the sacred instructions contained
therein: establish unity through shared trances brought on with the aid of potent tribal
rhythms at regular gatherings.
